you could bore and stroke your 5.3 to a 383ci.

a 383 would be more of torque motor considering it will have a 4.0 stroke crank.

I wouldn't use that block either. Probably wouldn't have much faith in that crank either. With your goals, I'd say go .030 over on a 6.0, for the 370. Good head/cam/converter package. Spray it if you have to.

I'm sure the least expensive route would be to go with the 6.0 and different block. I want to stay N/A and I don't think I could get my ECSB with the 5.3 to 12's without spray. I don't have a budget but I looked at the prices on the stroker kits for the 5.3 and they are way more than I want to spend on just bottom end.

I'm having trouble finding a good used block (6.0) in my area. They're just not here for what I can see. I will have the crank checked before I use it.

Any ideas what heads/cam to get me to my goals with the 6.0?

Know any places to find a good shortblock?

Thanks

Well as far as cam, I got a Comp xr275hr that was never opened at all, its still in the cellophane. They told me they would take it back and grind me a custom grind for trade of the shelf cam. So I can save some money right there. Got some parts to sell so I will buy as I go so, whatcha thinking?
