Default Help with build: 243s + TVS1900

Heads need to be milled to increase CR, I know most guys mill around 0.030 to get compression back to stock levels.

1. Any fitment issues w the blower when milling the heads?
2. What CR do I want with a blower and how much to mill? trever1t was around 9.9:1 and worked great.

More than anything I want to know if there would be any fitment issues.

Plan to run 10psi

Full specs in sig

Milling the heads is not a good idea with forced induction. You will make the head decks thinner and they will be more prone to lift.

I wouldn't worry at all about lifting heads at 10 psi, even with a thinner deck. We're only taking about .030" here. How many .030 over 6.0 liters (370 CID) are out there running blowers and turbos, making big power?

You are talking about .030 over cylinder walls to make a 6.0 into a 370. He is talking about taking .030 of a cylinder head deck, which is a lot of material.

I milled mine .015 and there were no fitment issues. Where you might run into problems would be with blower-to-valley cover clearance, but I'd give it a go. I wish someone made thicker intake manifold gaskets.

I'm running 9.9:1 and have no issues at 10psi.

True, but we're only talking about 10 psi here, which is not alot of boost IMO.

Fitment is my concern, .015 isn't enough to bump CR in my set up. I guess I'll just throw the blower over the stock heads and be done lol

Thanks
