Default head/cam choice for new member

Hi, I live in NEW CALEDONIA a french island just near Australia, and New Zeland in the South Pacific.
I have a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L 4x4 ext cab with Nelson tune PCM/Finish line transmission 4L60E Level 4/Header/ 3"body lift/ flowmaster

I plan to change my head/cam, because I'm new I come to this forum to search some help.
I use my truck as a daily driver and mostly to street driving, and sometimes I did
1/4miles runs.
I search the best I can put to an OEM engine.
How much gain I can expect?Do I need a new PCM flash? Also do I need to by new pushrod and new timing chain?
What is the best place to find HEAD/CAM combo?

I hope you will help me

Best regards

MARK

Talk to Richard at WCCH (Sponsor on right >>>>>>>). He can recommend a head and cam combo that will be best for you at a good price.

And yes, you will need a new tune on the PCM. Talk to Nelson. If he is like most tuners, since you already paid for his tune, retunes are free + shipping costs.

EDIT: Also look at these search results to see what others have done.

220/220 114lsa 5xx lift seem to be great cams for the 5.3s.

Oh wow.
The parts come with some good weight.
Do you have any idea how much shipping will cost to get this stuff to you.
Is their any one local you can get parts from?
