Just got off the phone with wiseco. They are sending me new top rings. They said it's bad to have that much heat in the tips like that. Makes them brittle, which is what I was afraid of. I'll grind the new ones myself.

I would not be happy with those rings, especially if they did not come numbered for the cylinder they were filed to. I would be curious to see if they actually measure what you asked for when placed in their respective bores.

should be able to finish up the paint thise week then i will check them all out. the deck is taped off quite nicely and took a couple hours to do so i will just wait.
i got tired of cutting my fingers and **** when i work on this thing so i have been grinding and sanding down all the casting flaws. now when i change the oil i won't cut my hands on the pan, there was a razor sharp edge right by the filter. along with the heads too, i was amazed at the amount of casting right around the spark plug holes.

I just picked up my engine and parts yesterday had the shop check the rings and open them up a little since i'm going to turbo my engine the rings are not labeled for each cylinder? its a stock bore was only honed should I be worried?
