Default Going up in HP...Cylinder Head advice needed..

incase u guys havent noticed yet i have stage 2.5 heads...but im thinkin of sumthing more on the AFR side...can u guys suggest what cylinder heads work best with my application? i run a everyday ride..street/strip and want some good HP..

Are you just not liking the performance of you current setup? IMO i would change out that cam to something with less split and ALOT tighter LSA, but that is just me...

my cam is okay cause my rpm power range is fine...but im feeling my cam is too big for my heads...im thinkin somewhere around AFR heads

I would go 6-oohh or just get much more cubes or just FI the avy.

Avalaches weigh over 5600 lbs plus you and anything you may carry, and you need some big numbers to get what you want. If you get AFR heads it seems to me you'll be 1/2 if not a little more to a TVS lets say, and that would really wake up the beast.

I have a 4.8 in my sierra with a couple of small mods. Note small and basic. One night I was racing a Escalade EXT "there Avy", and got him at every roll. He seemed to have a couple of bolt-ons like me judging by the noise of the exhaust, and factory 22's. None the less I could get 2 lengths on him pretty quick and hold it pretty damn good.

But all the AFR heads are for 350ci...wont that affect the power range on my avy? if not could you plz suggest any?

as l7 sierra said i suggest you work to increase the cubes
since the avy is heavy

or u can change to another cam i feel like ur cam is for f/I applications
