Debating on tearing my LS1 down and doing forged internals for a few reasons. Most importantly for room to grow... a 2.3 blower on 15lbs would be pretty fun.
It's down to the short block now... set of Eagle rods and Wiseco 3.903s for roughly $1,100 shipped and $800 worth of machine work
Maybe I'm over thinking it?

Forged LS1 budget=forged 5.3/370/383/390 budget.
Any time your start going forged the price becomes just about equal give or take a little bit. If you are going forged might as well go bigger.

Lol, a little over budget Pat
Ya, that's pretty much for line bore, bore/hone, hot tank, sonic and install new cam bearings... I can't remember if that included rotating assembly balance... been so long.
I learned that the hard way... twice!
