Default A few questions

New to the truck owner world, I will post picks later. 1995 shortbed step side fully custom from factory by Starcraft.

My family has been in the metal business( heat treater) for 30 plus years but I am the only gear head. What's the process used for dart blocks? What are traditional Rockwell readings on engine blocks? I have long thought about experimenting with engine blocks, running them through different hardening and/or temper cycles. Can any tell me maybe what would be the breaking point? Would the fact that the motor is rotating mean the block is already at its max hardness from the factory!
