Default Double Checking: Head milling

Well the heads are going to the machine shop tomorrow. I am having .055 milled off of them. I want to be doubly sure that the intake will mate up to the heads ok. Im not into guessing games. Just double checking.

Using stock head gaskets.

Mine are milled .045 with no problems and I think 02sierra5.3 milled .050 off his. I don't know any others over .050. Maybe check with Richard from WCCH, I'm sure he could tell you for certain.

I haven't milled more than .050" and personally checked fit. I can't say your 100% good, but the plastic intakes are pretty forgiving. Your next concern might be piston/valve clearance.

Good luck Beau,

Richard

You can always take a dremel to your intake and shave off just a hair to make it fit, you are talking about a difference skinnier then the period at the end of this sentence.
