Mine are .055 and no problems. Oh and 224 .581 112Lsa is really tight

how much of an increse in power would you get milling .50 off?

This is a free mod for me, Have the machine to do it with

you raise your compression about a full point so you get more power and economy that way

Nope, Using Harris Engine and Grinding in Baytown. I dont trust the country yayhoos out in College Station.

Hey Joshluther: What do you mean by it is tight with that cam? I assume you are talking about P to V clearence but did you check it? Our pistons are dished so thats a little added clearence.

Ive never seen how the intake wouldnt fit even if you took 100 off, there is plenty of space between the valley and the bottom of the intake plus no matter how much you take off the angles between components wont change.
BTW my cam is 112/112 222 .566 lift 2.00/1.55 valves
the valve job is well worth the money

Ptv minimum clearance should be .080 on the intake and .100 on the exhaust.
and I think I had .080 and .090, but with titanium valve-train components and dual springs rated at 377 lb/ins. it should be OK

Josh, what is the ICL of your 224-112 cam and if adjusted during the install, what was it installed at?

the angles wont change but if you mill the heads, the bolt holes on the head will sit lower than the bolts holes on the intake. thats where the problem comes in
