Default Do I need Vacuum?

I've been having issues since I put my cam in. I kinda had it sorted out untill my TPS problem reared its head. So when AJ gets back we'll fix that with the MAP perameters. So now my question. If I dont let the truck run for about a minute or so (cold or hot) and I step on the brake to put it in gear, it acts like it is starving for vacuum and kinda studders at idle. Some times if I just ignore it and get to the stop light about 300 ft from my drive way it'll do it some more and if I ease of and on the brake it goes away. So do I need a vacuum canister or what do I need? please help, I love my truck but its annoying to drive at the moment

Since I have a similar cam and same size motor I think I might be able to help... You need to adjust your Desired Idle Airflow table and your Throttle cracker table and maybe throw a degree or two in you base timing table and add like 50-100 rpm to the idle rpm speed table.... Mine did the exact same thing until I tuned it, it is much better now almost like stock, still need to do a little more tweaking but it has not died on me yet since I tuned it... Unfortunetly there is really nothing you can do until you tuner gets back, at least in my opinion....

yeah, ur very correct. And Im glad to see u didnt do the 'gina sized cam haha how do u like it? I do know I need to probly adjust the IAF table, Kyle took a bunch of timing out when we went to the track but I didnt get a chance to run it again cuz some *** whipe dumped oil for the second time that night. But maybe that fucked with it. I've got alot of stuff to play with
I need to get an AFR gauge I think as well. Has anyone heard about the ones that feed directly in to the PCM??

Yep I definately like the cam, no complaints.... It runs really good, and with somewhat decent weather today it runs great!!!! Mid and Upper RPM feel really strong!

I hear that. I took my truck out the other day and long story short that night I ended up racing my girl's friends 350Z again.. Hah, lucky me everything just clicked in my truck, I hit it at about 25 after the left hander to get on the freeway and I had about 3 lengths on her til I let off at about 110. She proceeded to do 140, haha ricer fly-by included

yeah if your still at stock idle that would be an issue, I was just about to put a cam in my camaro and most that put larger cams in had to raise their idle to 700-900rpms depending on lobe seperation and such

Oh and good job with the 350z, your truck must be doing better then those can dip into the 13's, depending on year and driver of course!

Wow that high? Mine is sitting at 575-600rpm, but my cam is not huge or anything...
