Custom cam spec opinion
#1
I had a cam spec'd for my truck, I would like some opinions on the specs. I will not disclose who spec'd it Because people tend to give opinions on that person and not the cam. That being said the cam is 217/233 117+4.5 .553/.553. It's going in my 2015 Silverado 2500HD 4x4 w/ 6.0. I am using stock Ls9 springs and installing a LSA supercharger. It has 1.750 primarily long tubes w/ 3" collectors to a 4" single exhaust. This is my daily, I drive about 100 miles a day. I tow a 7k lbs travel trailer a couple of weekends a month. I want low and mid range power up to about 6200rpm. Does this sound right? Thanks in advance

Stock converter? That will really dictate how much overlap you want to live with on a truck driven as many miles as this. With -9 in this cam it will have plenty of manners for daily use, and should pull right to 6200 without any problem.
The exhaust open is actually 2* later than the LS9 cam despite its larger duration number, that along with its increased intake duration and earlier intake close (41*) will result in a MUCH fatter torque curve than the LS9 cam.
