different dyno's show different numbers, weather changes those numbers too many variables. ill put my extended cab silverado at 277 hp up against your 343 hp single cab.

nice numbers BTW
All good points but I don't think I have a 343 hp dyno queen since I put down those numbers with a TR220. Not known for a big, nasty, numbers only cam. It runs VERY well and I bet it's pretty close, if not already there, to the 12 sec club. It's a pretty well thought out, proven combo. I'm not looking for 50 more hp out of a big nasty cam swap. Just a decent SOTP difference while still driving well and performing well. I wouldn't go any bigger than 224-ish and 550-560-ish.

Thanks for the compliment BTW!

I agree that you have a stout driver and I also think that you are about as close as you will get with the 5.3. For a little SOTP Take all your parts and put them in a 6L.
For a bigger SOTP just go 408. No substitute for cubes...

I know and what I'll do when I'm ready and out of the apartment garage is build an iron 383. My dad was an early hot rodder and owned his own speed shops and his favorite motor was the 383 chevy. His funeral was like a freakin car show, sort of a legend in Houston. So as homage, that's what I'll do when I get into the motor.

Anyone on my made-up cam specs?? 224/220 563/551 112??

in all honestly, I think that going with that 224/220 will not make it any faster, use that money elsewhere, if you want better 1/4 times, get a bigger converter, if not then stick with the 3k that you have... and dyno #' aint nothing,,, mine put down 323rwhp... lol..

How about 224/220 569/563 112? I think subconsciously I just want to do another cam swap! My TT3000 is brand new so I don't want to get another stall. Would that be too big for my stall?
