Lightbulb Just a thought

LS2 runs just fine with a stock compression ratio of 10.9:1, so I'd think doing a truck motor @ around 10.5:1 would not be a problem at all (running 91 or better pump gas). Get those 243's milled to lower the combustion chamber volume, and while they're at it, have them work the valve bowls/transitions/combustion cambers around the valves/and a thorough valve job with 2.00(stock intake size)/1.57-1.60(up from 1.55 stock exhaust) valves. Going any bigger on a stock 3.78" bore starts to shroud the intake valve. After that pick up a camshaft that has been "custom" designed to work with your combo, and your driving needs. In order to get close to the 10.5 to 1 static CR you're also going to need a set of 5.3/4.8 flat top pistons; I'd get the crowns ceramic (thermal barrier) coated if you're going after serious boost/nitrous (think 10lbs+ or 150+ shot). Just my thoughts on the matter, as I'm thinking about doing similar to my truck.
