Default Can I make an ls3 cam work in an 02ls1

I bought an ls3 cam and was planning to put it in my ls1 and didn't do enough research. What has to be done to use it in an ls1 or is it able to be done?
Thanks.

It can be done... But it's kind of a pain. Your car has the cam sensor in the back of the block... Newer engines do it differently. You will need to retire the cam sensor. It's not worth it... It will be less of a headache and cheaper to get a cam made for your engine

It can be done, and not really that hard but still not sure if its worth for a ls3 cam. Does the ls3 have 1 bolt or 3 bolt? Anyway, you need to have a timing gear that has a 1x instead of 4x, a timing gear cover that has a front cam sensor, and reroute the wiring from the back to the front.
