what would be a nice cam for the whipple s/c on a 5.3? something that can be driven everyday. would i have to get different springs, pushrods, lifters, rocker arms, etc?

 

I would reccomend the lpe gt2-3. get a set of ls6 springs, and some hardened 7.400 pushrods and you will be good to go.

 

Do you plan on keeping the stock torque convertor?

 

nope, gonna get a 3000 stall. ive been trying to look around for them but i keep finding ones for the 93-02 4L60E and not so many for the LS1 type engines w/ the 4L60E. reason i was looking was for different prices. i also found a transgo shift kit for the 93-02 4L60E, will this work or is it the older style tranny?

 

i second the suggestion of the gt2-3. I've got one for my turbo 6.0. Haven't got it in the truck yet but i here great things about it.

 

I really like my GT2-3. Idles nice, runs good in vacuum and even better under boost!

 

That is the cam I will go with once I get a supercharger.
