I put the entire top row of studs on first and couldn't get the heads on b/c my headers are welded to the exhaust so they only have 1-2" of movement. For my single cab, I made sure the headers had a 3-bolt flange for removal due to this experience

Winded up taking the studs out and placing the heads on first then the all the studs afterwords. The studs weren't that bad besides the very back corners.

I just did a head swap and it was easier for me to put the studs in first then put the heads on. But I used the pro comp studs.

Those are some PRETTY heads, too bad that lifter cover and the front of the motor are all greased up!! Kind of takes away from the effort there.....

Did you know that a CLEAN engine can run as much as 10-15 degrees cooler during normal operation than a dirty one?

I agree! Unfortunately I was on a time crunch, but taking the intake manifold isn't to big of a deal and I'll probably get around to it . Didn't know it could make that much difference interesting.

I tried the image option and pasted the url link from photobucket, are you only supposed to use a certain part of the url?

Purple power from walmart.. $6 or so a gallon and a $1 spray bottle from their housewares section, or an almost empty windex bottle with a stream option.

Have fun cause your hand will get sore quick.

as for the image link, all you have to do while on photobucket's website is LEFT CLICK in the "IMG codes" link and it will show copied.

then when coming back over to here, right click and hit paste.

Do not change anything at all in that link for it work properly.
