Cam question
I have a 2010 crew cab 5.3L 4x4 looking to put a cam and do some head work talked to w.c.c.h and Richard said to mill the heads.025-.030 and do stage 1 port and polish he said use a 208/208 112lsa cam ? anyone have any info or have you used this cam? what kinda rwhp? and tq?

I agree on the heads but that cam is a bit to small, it wont hardly pickup any power unless its 600 lift. I say go with the comp 216-220 cam. Of corse this has alot to do with what mods you have and plan on doing yet, Let us know what plans you have for it and that will help us alot to figer out what will work the best for you..

Are you planing on going FI? If you are, select your cam with that in mind. The reason I ask is that's some fat headers you are installing for NA. Also, what kind of idle do you have in mind? Choppy, lope, near stock?

Yeah i agree the headers are plenty big, a header that big will rob your low end torque on that engine, i wouldent run those unless you have spray in mind or a stroker moter. I still think the 216 220 cam is the way to go and id stick with the 1 3/4 pacesetter header.

The cam will work without a stall but with the waight your pushing and maybe a blower later i would go with a 3000 if you could sneek one in. Call up circle D and tell him what plans are and he will get the right converter for a good price.
