yes sir, DCR so you can keep it pump gas friendly. If my calculator is right, with a .060 head gasket, 4.30 bore, 4" stroke, adv -.006 out of the hole, 64cc chamber, and -15 dish piston it comes to a 8.06 DCR. As long as the cam has no advance. At 111+4 it is around 8.32 DCR. I say go for it, stick with a stock H/G. DCR should be around 8.5 like Corey said....

So I may have missed on some numbers. Specifically the Piston Deck Clearance. Glad I haven't ordered the rotating assembly yet cuz I thought I was good to go.
Idea is to have over 10:1 N/A with L92's milled 030 and then ~9.5 with non milled L92's.
When I was calculating CR I was using a 0 PDC but it looks like a stock lq9 has a .05 out of the hole.
If this will also be true on the new assembly (not sure if it will be or not) then that would give me the following info for N/A
4.030 bore
4" Stroke
4.070 Gasket bore
.06 Compressed gasket thickness
62.5cc combustion chamber
-15cc dish piston
-.050 out of the hole Piston Deck clearance
using this site : http://www.csgnetwork.com/compcalc.html
shows 11.472 CR N/A and then 10.5CR with a 70cc head.
Do these numbers look accurate?
Also I'm assuming Piston compression height would still be 1.338 and block deck height is 9.24 correct?
This is really the first engine where I've actually needed to build from scratch and also for 2 different set ups. I realize this isn't the DCR but I need to get the CR where I want it before moving on to calculate DCR I would assume.

bump for info on Block Deck Height and Piston Compression Height. Not sure what the Deck Height is or how to figure what the Piston height will be prior to ordering them.
Bore 4.03
Stroke 4
Rod Length 6.125
Piston Comp. Height 1.11
Piston Dome cc -15
Head Comb. Chamber cc 64
Head Gasket Thickness 0.055
Block Deck Height 9.24
Cylinders 8
= 10.13.. Look correct?
