Default Cam bearings

So I get my motor apart to find my cam bearings are worn. Question is, pass. side oil hole in bearing has no hole behind it? Is this normal? Anyone know a good machine shop in or around Huntsville Al.? Besides R&R and Huntsville Engine.

That's normal. I actually see much worse usually.

Notmal, but while its apart they are worth replacing, and yes only one oil hole lines up with the oil galley, the spot where they are joined together goes to the top saves from having to put them a specific direction aside from the joint going up... If you replace them look into a set of coated bearings... Is that a gen 3 or gen 4 engine? And cast or aluminum?

It's a gen IV cast motor. It blows my mind the factory does that. Ive seen guys using several different brands of bearings. Guessing King or Clevite? Is Durabond any good? This is a daily driver that will hopefully see a little boost one day.

Gm has a bulletin on an updated set of coated bearings for the gen iv engines... And they made them all wide bearings.... There were two sizes listed, as far as width goes, for stock replacements... Can get part numberif youd like, or youd rather i think its durabond coated bearings....

Im bored....
