good info, i didnt know they did that. I d love to see some of the tricks these cup teams use.And BTW , Back then they didnt want me know i'm hot they all on me!

Have you ever seen someone break a timing chain or valve spring?
That's what valvetrain harmonics can do.
We see HP gains on balanced cams from 5,600rpm on up.
On Hydraulic roller cams we see as much as a 400rpm gain engine rpm.

The average cam is out of balance by 3-4 ounce-inches at 400rpm.
As for harmonic dampeners for cams, some of the IRL engines ran them a few years ago when they went from chain drive to gear drive.

Never said that it wasn't worth it to somebody, I said it wasn't worth it to ME and probably not the average shade-tree gearhead. Good info though.
