ok well in that case I found one from Vinci.. (thanks ramdaspahyde ) it is a 210/218 with a 114 LSA .531lift and 48 overlap. 1700-6k powerband and it says "light choppy idle"...now I donno what light is to them but I've looked up some videos on youtube and what not of a 5.3 with a 212/218 and I liked the way it sounded so.. Im guessin this is the end of my search thanks everyone for all the help and if anything seems out of place (I know Im stretching it with the converter I have so Ill take the advice and look for 1 out of a trailblazer) let me know. Thanks again everyone!

The Comp 206 / 212 .515 .522 @ 112 would be another alternative. Wouldn't need to worry about a convertor change either. The vinci cam above sounds like a nice cam too, but in the 4.8 you will probably need a small convertor to see its full potential

Go ahead and get a converter, anyways. You need it before a cam or at the same time. Go with a trailblazer cam. It's the smallest, least expensive nice piece you can get. You can find them on ebay for around 300 bucks.

+1 Do that and also do yourself a favor and get the 212/218 high or low lift 114 comp cam, some ls6 springs, and 7.4" hardened pushrods as well. That would be a very nice cam from seeing what it can do in a mild 5.3 setup. You can find the cam at thunderracing.com, ebay, or comp's website. I would do one of the first two because comp's website is really poorly designed and confusing. Good Luck!
