Still leaning on the XE268 not too big and not too small
I had a 226/234 114 lsa hyd roller in my 383 in my 95 model. It had a light choppy idle and tons of low end. That 224/230 110 will have a slightly choppier idle and build more mid range power due to more cyl pressure. Good for that 9.5:1. Mine was 10.1:1. I had fully ported 305 heads with 58cc chambers and 2.02/1.60 valves. Your vortecs would still flow more than them. It will be fun!

yeah, but now i need to make sure i want to go carb and not use my TBI. That would require a computor friendly cam.

Tooooo many variables.......

Its like this.
TBI = decent gas mileage and less power.
or
Carb = bad gas mileage and more HP

a well tuned carb can do both actually.
IMHO, ditch the Edelbrock, and look for a 670 Street Avenger.

You'll love the broad power range of the XE268....
