Default building a 5.7

I'm thinking about building my 5.3 to a 5.7 and I'm wondering if anybody has a parts list of what I would need. This is what I'm thinking so far:

ls1 pistons, new bearings, all new bolts(head, main and rod)

Would I be able to run my stock 5.3 heads or would the compresion be to high. I know I must be forgetting some thing. It just doesn't seem like enough.

I'm very interested in info on this type of build, especially if it turns out to be more cost effective than a complete 6.0 swap!

5.3 will work fine, they don't raise it too high.

I used stock ported truck heads and they work fine but you will have to run good gas. You better get some extra rear tires because you will need them

Do you use the same 5.3 rods just different (5.7) pistons?

Good info guys, thanks It's not a build I'll have done any time soon but I'm going to start getting the parts I need so I can do it all at once.
