I know the cam in the L98 is .410 but I can't remember what those springs are rated too. If you are going with a cam, you need to put the springs on those heads that the camshaft company recommends.

With your TBI engine, I would recommend a 212/218.

Question What is the compression on the LO5 Vin K 350's?

Anyone know what the actual compression ratio is on a 1995 CK1500, LO5, 5.7 TBI Vin Code K motor? If Its 9.3:1 now and I drop on 58cc heads man that would really spike the compression unless I stacked the head gaskets.

Its 8.3:1 on a light duty engine....on a heavy duty engine its 9.3:1. Your swirl port cyl. heads are 76cc stock is what most people have gotten...I have a set...just never cc'ed them. And your pistons are a dish piston with 4 valve reliefs. I can take pics of those if you want some. So, you should have a light duty engine can then with those 58cc, it should put you about 10:1.

If it wouldn't be any trouble, I'd kinda like to see some pics. I've never had a TBI motor apart before.

I think 10:1 would be pretty good with the right cam and intake.

Thanks again.
