5 studs for the coils and 4 bolts for the valve cover. Not a big deal.

Yea they can break too but it should at least keep the valve up that way. Would suck to dump the valve.
i have read about even with the dual springs breaking, the keepers pop out and drop the valve. my gto buddy told me about another gto guy who did not install the bases that came with the prc kit and one bound up and dropped the keepers. distroyed the piston, block, crank, ect. and that was at idle.

Well luckily it didnt mess anything else up so a new set of springs and it will e ack up and running. Do I need to heat cycle these springs or just put them in and go?

If you got LS6 springs again you should be able to just put them in and go, but I'd heat cycle them anyway to be safe. Any aftermarket spring I'd definitely heat cycle.

Holy sh*t that is scary looking! It's a miracle it didn't drop the valve.

And chevysten, Comp 918's are pieces of sh*t. I blew my engine because two of them broke randomly and I don't even have a big cam.

How did you blow your engine by having 2 springs break?
What cam are you running?
