Default blew an o ring

short version:
i just had all my injectors changed by the dealer. all new. today i was smelling gas real bad while driving. by the time i got it to the dealership today it was leaking gasoline on the ground. they said it was due to a busted o ring on one of the injectors. he also said the performance tuning i have on there and the high compression of the motor is the culprit. could it be just that particular injector or am i gonna keep having this problem?

I would put my bet on that they ripped one while putting them in. I know when i put mine in I had lean issues cause an O ring was bad.

There is no way that he is right. They are bullshitting you. It had to be an installation problem. The person who told you that needs a lesson in how an engine works too.

How does he know what the compression is unless you told him? And how could the compression or tune cause an injector o-ring to fail?

Botched install make them replace it on their dime!!!!

the only way it would be from the motor is if you cam timing is way off and it is shooting flames out your intake. but it would mess up more than an o ring haha.

he said that because they dont want to fix it because they messed up.

They're trying to cover their asses on their mistake...I hate when dealers or techs try to do that. Just fess up that you f**d up and fix the problem. Their blowing smoke up your ***.
