Thumbs up

I second that. I to would like some more info.

I am doing an other wise stock rebuild .020 overbore on a 5.3L but I plan on adding a comp cam XR265HR and am unsure on what Head package to use.
212in. 218ex duration @.050 .522in. .529ex Lift on a 114 LSA

I breifelly spoke with richard at WCCW about there 5.3l head package. He gave me 2 options hand ported stock heads or an edelbrock package.

I like the price he gave me on the hand ported stock heads.

I talked with Gunnar at Patriot and he has CNC polished 5.3 heads with patriot gold springs and LS1 valves for $995 a pair. Now that is a deal!!

As I said I sent richard @ WCCH a PM and got a prompt response. I intend to speak with him tommorow. I have many questions for him about the particular package I am putting together. I like the fact that He is near me and I can go down there to pick them up and swap out my cores with No waiting.

I also saw Patriot Performance has a CNC package and Texas Speed & Performance Has the PRC 2.5 package.

I've been more than pleased with my WCCH Stage 1 5.3 heads, and Richards customer service and contributions to this board is top notch.

I spoke with Richard earlyer today. Very helpfull and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all my questions and said I was welcome to come by any time.

After disscusing my basic 5.3 package and what is avalible on the market for the money I believe the WCCH stage 1 hand ported 5.3L heads should be right up my alley. I want a well rounded package down low and up top with out sacraficing driveability and gas milage.

I am not so sure on a NA setup that I would gain much more if anything with the cam I have chosen useing a head that might flow more CFM. The cam chosen above alone, has shown to be a good improvement all the way across the board. All though the PRC 2.5 heads seem to have similar flow numbers to a ported 6.0L head, With out using a larger cam or even adding forced induction, I don't think I would gain much if any thing from use of a larger flowing head. If any thing It might hurt the numbers down low.

Any one else have any input???

I have a set I'd like to sale. They have a few blown valve seals and need a cleaning, otherwise I'd suspect they are just fine. About under 6000 miles on them. More Performance screwed me on the valve seal job. Call Richard or Gunnar and ask what they'd charge to clean up, inspect and ship to you. If reasonable enough to get your interest I'll offer a refund for cost of heads minus any transaction costs if either of those 2 say my heads are screwed. I'll pay to ship to either of the 2. Gunnar sold me my 6.0 heads I have now. I am looking for 500 bucks. Again, shipping is included in that price.

BTW, both those guys are great to work with IMO. Richard certainly holds his reputation here on the truck site though! But I started with Patriot b4 I knew WCCH, both are stellar companies.
