Angry Bad News

well despite all my excitment, readiness and willingness my cam install was almost a complete failure. I was doin dam good by myself right, goin off the LS1 how to cam install write up and I was goin good, got the whole front of the motor stripped by myself and the valve covers and all off. Get to the harmonic balancer and go: ****.. autozone in all their brilliance gave me that piece of **** one thats like a maple leaf kinda design, I donno what the hell it was, but didnt work. Me and a buddy broke the balancer bolt loose finally and went back to autozone and paid the 60 DOLLAR RENTAL! for the 3 arm "Chrysler" puller. Only to find out that once we deside to tackle the springs that the "wine bottle opener" they gave me was supposed to be a spring compressor... and apparently thats the only F-in one they carry anymore! ****! so the most expensive and time consuming oil change and coolant flush took place in my drive way yesterday, and I almost had an aneurism (sp) because of it . So I did get the 7.4 rods in... long story short we bent one on the harmonic balancer **** box puller they gave us. Well, I guess Ill just order the only fashioned compressor that screws into the rocker bolt hole and give it a go another day....

haha, thanks Bill, and for checking my spelling

but I just kinda wanted to be able to slam it done and then be able to say hey dad, check this out ya know. I think I did really well for having basically NO experience with tearing down a motor and all. But all well, another day another dollar
