Your transmission is going to last about a day with that setup.

I agree with RandomHero. Get a 4l80e and be done with the tranny. Also the 112 is a nice supercharger, but has its limits. The 408 with a 3.0 pulley on a 112 is not going to benefit like it would with a bigger supercharger or a large turbo. I personally like a turbo much better than a supercharger.

I believe with the little 112 on a motor as large as a 408, if you go ahead pulley all the way down as far as you can go, you will still only come in around 4#’s of boost and a fairly aggressive cam will only make things worse on the boost side of things. You may end up wanting to convert to an 8-rib set up with an over-driven crankshaft pulley. Even if you do find yourself able to upgrade superchargers down the road, you would still appreciate the higher capabilities that an 8-rib system will afford you, so it’s not like you will be pissing in the wind by upgrading it now. Never-the-less, as the other guy’s have said, you should still make good transmission ripping power, it just will never be to the potential of what your combination is capable of.

thank you all for your input as for the trans I do plan to upgrade I think for right now I am concerned about the compression being so low and what to do with it I do plan to go with a bigger supercharger think I would just want to know if I should bring the compression up or just leave it

Leave the compression and put a 2300 on it.
