Default ARP Studs

I am about to put in these arp studs and was wondering is there a torque wrench designed for stucs? Or do you just tighten by hand as much as you can, and just torque the bolt? If so then to what spec?

Not sure, some studs utulize a slight preload and some go finger tight.
In any case, you won't be torque-ing the studs, you will be torque-ing the nuts. The directions should tell you what the studs need. Also, make sure you blow out all the stud holes with compressed air and use the proper lube on the threads.

No don't "tap" the holes... you can use a thread chaser, but this is NOT a thread cutting tap. Looks similar but not the same.

As for the studs, screw them in finger tight, thats it.

I watched a guy working on my buddys vette snap an ARP stud because he read and followed the directions. The directions said not to use the factory tq values and to use the ones given with the kit. Well he did that and snapped one. He then called ARP and they neglected to put the value for the smaller studs in the directions, the directions were reading as if all the studs were the same tq value and of course they are not. If in doubt call them, should be a number in your kit.

I would be careful if I were you. You cant just stick studs on to a block that was not bored or honed without a TQ plate. This will distort the block and you might twist the cylinder.
