Anyone running stock pushrods with LS6 cam?

The base circle on the LS6 cam is .050 smaller, so to keep the same preload on the lifter, you would technically need a 7.425 long push rod, but there is more then enough travel in the stock hydraulic lifters to make up that .025.

I ran stock 7.4" PR's on my old 02 LS6 cam in the SS with no problems. Rev'd to 6500rpms and made 376rwhp @ 361rwtq thru stock 241 heads and bolt ons. As mentioned above 7.425" is the perfect pushrod length but there is plenty of hyd travel to overcome this .025" in the stock lifter.

I would change them. I ran the ls6 cam , springs & stock pushrods in my na 5.3 . They held up for a year or so untill I installed L/T s 2 of them bent and I had 2 pull the heads n replace lifters n trays.
