Default is anyone running solid motor mounts

Like the title says. I am debating on making some solid mounts for my 370. I will be installing it in a couple days.

How often do you plan on driving it? You will feel a lot "more" with solids.
Is there an issue with stock mounts I haven't heard of?

No issues so far. I do have solids in my car. I have heard of them breaking, and I plan on turning up the power next year. My real concern is my exhaust. I have V-bands securing the whole thing, and I really don't want the engine to rock back ons forth.

Buy a flex piece for the exhaust? Might be a little cheaper/easier than putting in new motor mounts.

If you are going to drive it all the time I wouldn't do them.

Well I decided to try solid mounts and see how it goes. I actually just welded my stock ones together. If I don't like them, I will just buy new ones.

I have heard of guys "chaining" the motor down. Bolt a length of chain to the frame rail, and the other end to a VERY strong point on the block. You get the convenience of stock mounts, but when the motor goes to torquing over, the length of chain stops it from twisting. Ive thought about doing the same thing after seeing that mine looks like it wants to rip the frame rails out of the truck when boost comes on. lol

thought about doing the same thing to mine. seeing the front left pick up in 3rd gear makes me fear for the subframe. plus it makes people ask questions.
