Another cam question
Has any ran a Futral f6 in a 5.3 is so what did you think anxious to know if it was performer or not been considering this cam for awhile.

In my opinion that cam is a bit on the large side for a stock cube 5.3. Unless its primarily a track application and your planning on running a converter with a higher stall rating than a 3200.

Well you all may think I'm crazy but I don't really have any main goals it's not a dd its more of a toy I plan on taking it to the track off and on and street driving it occasionally I plan on running a 3600 converter and a 4:10 gear soon and probably a 125 shot I would be happy running a low 12 at the track tho I already have a tr220 it's jst not all that radical but don't get me wrong it runs great I jst want more without having to go FI I'm jst working with what I have for now!!! And I only spinning it 6200! With all that being said I was jst looking for a better cam than what I have now eventually it will have a built 408 but thats a while away!

If it will be mainly for track, you can get a good running 5.3L with the proper mods.
Go 9.5" 3800rpm - 4400rpm converter, tbss intake, built trans, 4:10 gears or possibly shorter gears, new heads to bump up the compression, bigger injectors and bigger Throttle Body and then the Futral F6 cam 226/230 cam would run like a raped ape. Another choice would be a EPS custom grind around a 227/230 or 226/230 with a little more lift than the Futral F6.
If you don't want to spend all the money on all the supporting mods to make it run properly, then I agree with the others, stick with the cam you already have or go smaller than the Futral.
