Adjustable Timing chain?
#1
I am going to do a cam swap with a turbo in the future. My question is an adjustable timing chain a worth while investment for a few more degrees of timing. Looking to get all my ducks in a row for the cam swap. I will be putting on Underdrive pulley and new valve springs also. Any thing else yall can think of.

not sure if adj. timg chain is worth the money unless you want to pull water pump ect. to retard/advance cam timing. don't think it gives any more horses just moves the power band either up or down somewhat, if the cam is properly sized to the motor that is. you mentioned pulley and springs, id get pushrods also

Most cams are off by a couple degrees. There was a thread where a guy installed a cam with the factory gear set, he felt as if he would benefit from degreeing the cam in so decided to purchase an adjustable timing set. He saw where the cam was off by a few degrees so he corrected it with the adj. timing set.
His results didnt show much improvement.
