Default 370 5.3

Can a 5.3 be made into a 370? Can i use the 6.0 crank? How much would the bore have to be?

no, 5.3 and 6.0 have the same stroke and a 5.3 block cannot be bored to 4.03"

No, you can't bore a 5.3 block that far. 5.7 is the most you can bore a 5.3 block. 6L crank is the same as a 5.3.

I have a 5.3[108k miles] short block that lost compression on cylinder #7 from boosting. The cylinder and top of piston still look fine.It must be a ring land.I haven't opened the bottom end of the motor. It was pulled this past spring. You can have it for FREE if you come get it.It has been stored in my garage. Then you can try anything you want without the initial cost of the motor.

bore it out to 5.7 spec pistons and throw a 4" stroke crank and you could have yourself a 383 > 370 (in cu. inches anyway).
