706s/LQ9 combo
I am runnin a denali with an sbe 6L. I have another thread documenting the full build. As of now it’s cammed, longtubes, stall.
I recently started gathering parts and picked up a NNbs intake complete with 32lb/hr injectors. I have two sets of 706 heads and going to swap them in at the same time the intake goes on. I have questions about some of the values needed for the static and dynamic compression calculator. If I’m doing the math right, with the smaller 61.5cc chambers of the 706s and an ls9 gasket it’s putting me @ 12.08:1 static. I’m thinkin I did some wrong math or something. Stock flat top pistons no reliefs, & a .051 gasket. Any advice would be great. Thanks
Ive spoken with Richard Holdener about the 706s on a 6L and he said they make more hp than 243/799s up til around 5k, then the 799 takes over by a slim margin. The 706s have a better torque curve though.

I knew I was inputting the wrong value in the calculator somewhere. Thanks.
It’s gonna choke it a little up top but that’s what this 125 shots for.

Richard is a smart guy. The point of the 706s is pointing out to people where you spend most of your time driving.
I doubt you’ll feel the difference up top
With it being 5500lbs I want one that will get down and go down low. I figure the Awd will get me movin without spinning too much. If I lose some up top that’s fine, should be better than my 317s anyhow.
