milled 706s
just curious. what would the compression ratio be on a stock bottom end 5.3 if i had the stock 706 heads milled .050 and used a stock head gasket? i read the sticky but i suck at math. lol! any information would be greatly appreciated.

Basically, with a .050 mill, you are removing 7.14cc's. So, stock 706 casting is 61.15 - 7.14 cc = 54.01cc's. Thus moving your compression from 9.5:1 to roughly (with the same head gasket) to 10.2:1. You would have to use a compression calculator to confirm with the piston cc's, deck clearance, gasket thickness, etc.
