He pm'd me. So that I can keep the price down by using stock ls springs and pushrods I was thinking about this cam because of the lower lift. I really like the sound and people say it performs well all across the rpm range. The only problem is it is unavailable on their website. Anyone know where to get one?

Thumbs up

If I were picking cams right now, I'd pass on the Custom Comp I have in my 5.3. Never happy I suppose and the cam i'm running right now with a CD 3200 and tru trac 4.56's will smoke the tires from a non-brake smash it to the floor.

I'm a Brian Tooley believer. Bought his lifters over others when I just cammed my motor.

I can't take my truck any farther performance wise (naturally aspirated), than a cam. I've got an excellent collective of parts that are working together impressively. (not your average).

If I were gonna look for a little more, I'd be in touch with BTR..

What size tires are you running with your 4.56 gears? The cam you'll need is really going to depend on the overall set up of the truck. I think it's a lot more critical on a truck than a lightweight car... The weight of the truck makes it a lot less forgiving if you select the wrong cam.

Default cam

I have an 03 1500hd lq4 with Pace Setter long tubes, Dual 3" with x pipe Flowmaster Single chambers, Msd wires, Fast lsxrt 102 intake, afe cold air, 243 heads, tsp ls2 double timing chain, tsp Hardened push rods, stainless locks, retainers, tsp 600 lift springs, tsp (Sleeper Truck Cam)212/218 600 lift 112+2lsa cam, dyno tune by Donihoo's Speed in Haltom city. 275/70/18 newer gm 8 lug wheels.

Dyno numbers are 342 hp 350tq, the peak numbers are kind of low but the average power, low end torq and mid range is what my goal was, (considering my red 06 made 408hp and 391tq but didn't start making power till 3800 rpm) I made 300 tq at 2000 rpm in the 03 1500hd, no stall needed and only revs to 5800, needs bigger injectors and its a stock bottom end, the efans are not on yet and the nick Williams 102mm throttle body and xlink weren't meshing together so went back to factory throttle body till I can figure out the issues but after those three are on and retuned, I am expecting 360-370 hp and 370-380tq to the wheels.

the Tsp cam I used is almost the same as the btr stage 2, It has some lope but not radical, I can tow anything like my 06 when something happens, and its really easy to drive daily.

I only have about 1000 miles on it so far, it is a lot easier to drive than my 06 everything is in my sig to show the difference.

Thanks for your time hope this helps and if there is any questions feel free to ask,
