Whats the price on the Eldebrock heads? I'll probably do what I did before and call COMP cams and talk to the tech after I decide on a set of heads, gears and stall speed. Thanks for the input so far fellas.

We sell them with beehive springs for $1990.00 per set. Dual springs and titanium retainers will add $125.00. I've got a set in stock. Give us a call if you have more questions.

Here's a link to some online info about these heads. Click here.
Sorry no pics available yet, but we're working on that.

so 59cc heads will bump us up to 10to1cr correct and what about pushrod lenght? do we need to go shorter. and 10.5to1 compression would be great with just a .030mill

i dont know if the 317 heads FLOW better but they will KILL your compression ratio i would suggest getting richard's 5.3L heads and be done with the heads and there are tons of cams out there to chose from so look at a lot before you make your decision

i always thought reverse split cams were usually used on turbo'd motors

The 59cc chambers will get your c/r to approx. 9.8:1. Milling .030" will get the c/r to 10.5. Exact c/r will depend of head gasket bore dia. and thickness. The stock length pushrod should be fine even with the milling.

Pirate, you should build a REAL 327. I noticed when I bought my 5.3 that these new part are the exact specs of the old 327

4.8 stroke
6.0 bore

equal

327

????? 4.8 stroke and 6.0 bore = 1086 cubic inches or a 17.79 liter
