they are EVERYWHERE take your pick of a nice low mile one they cam in ALL HD trucks and a few half ton configurations. You need to find some old school guy that runs a wrecking yard that doesnt know what he's got and get one for a nice price.

 

as far as 400 rwhp goes. didn't someone do a 302 ci ls1 that put out 500hp at the crank? i remember they put in a pewter z28, and i think they did it on pump gas. if this is true then 400rwhp out of a 325ci should be a cakewalk with the right heads and cam.

 

I know a place they can be had for cheap

 

How much is cheap?Also is it thw whole engine or just a block etc??

 

I paid $1000 for the whole thing, intake to oil pan.

i scored a complete LQ9 with accesories for 800 bucks. got to love connections

to bad now i dont use the topend of one anymore or the accesories

 

i wish i could know poeple to score a motor like that for ever twice that price

 

when i install my heads i plan on heading to a dyno. i don't think i'll see 400 but it'll be interesting to see how far away i am from it. i could have said close but that would mean i actually make power now. lol
