I wish it was stock converter friendly.. maybe just my combo idk! Single cab step side. Just got done swapping the Norris Cam in... and it is awesome power wise... but putting into gear and holding in drive it is NOT happy lol. Trys pushing through the converter bad. I am looking for a budget 2500 or so stall converter for the mean time until I have a built trans done, and will go with a Circle D after.

I am not good with colloquialisms, but if "pushing through the converter" and "not happy in drive" means that when you put it in drive it stalls, it sounds like a tuning issue. Or does pushing through the converter mean that it acts like you are giving it gas and holding the brakes hard at the same time? Another tuning issue.
Just trying to present an easier solution than replacing the converter.

pushing through the converter means the STR or the stall itself is mismatched for your application and you are losing power

Or the tune has too much commanded airflow in gear.

Cheap converter: BTR "TRUCK YEAH!" TORQUE CONVERTER - 4L60E/4L65E/4L70E - BTRTQ01 (briantooleyracing.com)

I put a Yank TT3000 in my truck recently (had to call them, couldn't find it on their site anymore) and spent $600 on it. It flash stalls to about 2400 RPM. I'm not exactly happy with it for the price. Wish I would have seen this converter or got the FTI 3200 stall that BTR has listed on their site.
