Default 5.3 to beat up on an silly ss?

Alright so I'm needing alil help with a coworker5.3 I'm more used to playing around with my blown silly ss and now my 6.2. Haven't played much with 5.3s
Basicly he's got an 04 cc 5.3 and wanted alil more sound and grunt so I suggested a cold air/ headers and full exaust and a custom tune/ welllll now he has the itch haha he got smoked by another buddies silvery ss
So now his come back to me for round 2 haha he wants to beat the ss so in my mind I suggest a cam would be the best bang for his buck. Which he loved the thought of I think he is more excited about the sound then anything haha having that in mind with alil help I've come up with 2 options for a cam with a heavy lob sep so he will be happy with the lump lump haha
Sooo what's everyone's thoughts is it gonna be enought to hang with an ss and anyone use either cam

Comp cam54 455 11
Dur@050 215. 223
Lift. 604. 610
Lobe sep. 112

Cam2
Xr275hr
Comp cam 54. 426 11
Dura@.050. 222. 224
Lift. 566. 568
Lobe sep. 112

if he wants to stay N/A pick up some 4.8 pistons to bump the compression to get a little more of a edge. idk about cams though.

Comp told me the 215/223 would work wonderfully in my 5.3 CC if I wanted to invest in the good valvesprings to run it. It will need a converter though. I ended up with a custom 218/224 on a 110 and I have a 3000 Vigilante, it really needs a touch more compression and more gear, but it does come on strong right after the converter and sounds wicked.

You wouldn't happen to have a sound clip of it would. A 110 must be a lumpy sob lol

OP, is he willing to run a stall converter with a higher stall speed, or does he possible already have one? Let me know and I can better help spec a camshaft.

The HT1 cam wouldn't be a bad choice either.
