5.3 to 6.0 swap questions

Oh btw. Depending on your budget and whats in your area. if you send your PCM to Wait4Me it'll cost about $75 for them to reflash it and send it back. But you'll see a lot more power out of it if you get a custom tune. Our sponsor Wheatley on the right has some good mail orders you might look into if you don't have a local dyno shop.

actually it does. the only difference is whats inside the engine. if the outside of 2 engines are exactly identical, they bolt up to the exact same things. I was simply trying to save the original post some time by helping with the search feature since it needs improvement. Hopefully they'll get it working better soon.
If it'll help answer a few questions right away it saves him some time from having to wait for a reply. Any other questions or anything he didnt see just ask, i wasn't trying to be rude.
As for your LQ9 you should be good to go unless you bolt it up to a 4L80e. I believe you'll need a crank spacer to move the flexplate out a lil further to bolt to a 4l80e.
Other than that you guys should be good to go. Assuming you don't run into any unforeseen problems you should be able to do the swap in 2 days or less depending on your experience.
Hope that helps.

Thanks, I was actually going to buy a stock 4l65e when I bought the motor. Or should I just bolt it up to the 4l60e and save for an FLT level 5? what about the cam, I have seen dyno results with the 220 and 224 and some of the 220's with the same mods seem to be puting down just as much as the 224? I know heads would help as well. I might be throwing some stock Polished and ported Heads from WCCH as well.
A stock 65e will get you by for a little while tho. just make sure you run some Tq Management.

got it all bolted up and everything. the intake manifold was not the same so i bolted up my old one. i believe the truck has a good base tune right now. i tried to contact wheatly to get it tuned and left a message but didnt get a call back. so i will have to wait a little till i can get it tuned to see some extra power
