Ya because if the guy is going to actually race it around the track it may be needed. Also he should probably drill the lifter trays, that extended high rpm running will cause the oil to pool up in the lifter trays.. The guys on tech recommend drilling them if your going to be at high rpms for an extended amount of time.

Just a thought i have no real experience..

Yea I'm familiar with the 1/2" holes in the lifter tray trick (saw it in Will Handzel's book ), not sure if my pop is or not though...I may have to run that past him

I seriously doubt he will use trays with a solid roller setup. More then likely a link-bar lifter.
