Well I was finally able to get over to pop's shop to get the scoop on the LSX that he's building, and also took some pics of some other customers' mills that are being built. First, on to the LSX
The engine is going into a Pro Touring 67 Nova which will have either a 5 or 6 speed, and will have a F2 ProCharger on it.
LSX Standard Deck Block, about 422 CID when it's all done
4.100 Bore
4" Crank Stroke, Callies Crank
6.125 Carrillo Rods
Mast LS7 Heads
Jesel Rocker Arms
Mechanical Roller Camshaft, Specs Undecided
John Marcello One-Off Fabricated Intake Manifold
Moroso Aluminum Oil Pan (shelf item)
FAST EFI System
Injectors?
ATI Dampener
ARP Fasteners
Cometic Head Gaskets
Valve Springs? (I'm guessing Manley Nextek if they're available for this application)
Can't remember what pistons
My dad's projecting that this setup will be good for 900-1000 crank horsepower when done. As is with every engine that goes through my dad's shop, he will dyno it when he's finished and I'll be able to post up solid results.
As for the intake manifold, check out "John Marcello" on google, and you will find some works of art!
I checked out his website and his designs and hand welds are second to none
Some pics for your viewing pleasure

Just another 950-1000 HP Big Block Chevy

Dry Sump Oil System

...and another big block...

IIRC, this is a John Marcello intake...

Here's a regular ole cast tunnel ram...seems lame after seeing some of the Marcello pieces...

Aluminum Big Block Mopar

And that's all for now...next time I'll get some pics of the dyno and Haas CNC machine, as well as some of the lathes and boring and honing machines

It was blue with the original straight six in it...we swapped a 350 into it and made an SS clone out of it and sold it for a decent profit. Looking back, I really wish that "I" still had that car

(the neighborhood wasn't that bad when he first opened his doors back in '71...although it wasn't that great either lol)

Hmmm, good thought Corey, actually, I don't even know what oil pump he is going with, I'm going to have to ask him about that next time I swing by his shop
