Default 408 towing build

Im thinking of doing a 408 stroker build geared towards towing in my 2000 2500. It would use TEA ported 317's, a rotating assembly from texas speed, EPS truck torque 2 cam, and long tubes. I think I may also need a larger throttle body, such as the nick williams 92mm unit. Will this tb fit my stock intake? I feel a FAST setup might be overkill, considering this engine will seldom operate above 5500.

The cool thing about the FAST is that it makes power accross the board, not only at high RPM.

Do you have some sort of alert set up when anything about a FAST intake is posted? It seems like I always see you in them

I have done a lot of testing on them, and they are really worth the money.

Ive tested the edelbrocks as well all of the OEM LS car/truck intakes, so i understand intake more than most.

I also had a bad expereince with an engine that was a terrible combination, and it sucked. I try to keep people out of the same situation as I was in. (First engine was 350 SBC, 882 heads, Single plane intake, 750 carb, 8.5:1 compression, 254/264 .525 lift solid flat tappet cam)

Ouch, I bet power was nonexistant below 3500.

Your heading in my direction. I just added a FAST LSXRT I am going through some tuning issues but I can feel power picked up everywhere across the board.
I think a TBSS intake would be a nice addition as well. Much simpler tuning and install. Maybe not as good but gains are gains.
Should be a real nice driver with whatever intake you pick.

for towing, i don't see a FAST intake worth the cash IMO. A TBSS or l92 setup would be my option.
