I'll disagree with that. Did you read the original paper written about the rectangle ports? It basically sums up the gossip that's often said about the "large, slow, lazy intake runners." It proves how all that crap is, just that...crap. Rectangle ports are a great design and I would recommend them any day of the week.

Have you ever run and LS3 setup?

Tony mamo is a very smart man that knows a ton about cylinder heads. But as you can understand, he tries to push everyone towards cathedrals, because that is what he produces and sells. It's like you working at ford, and trying to convince me that my chevy that I own is complete . It's just a bit one sided.

LS3 heads come stock from the factory in a form that will produce great power. At least, thats what I learned from my experience with them.

I'm not trying to turn this thread into a rectangle port vs. cathedral port thread. All I'm saying is that the OP should do his own research and decide for himself which route to go.

I wouldn't run a stock casting on a 408, period. I also wouldn't run a car intake, when the lsxrt flows better.

Sigh, relax man. Please dont flex your experience with a l92 top end and hurt me.

There's no marketing conspiracy.

And all I did was present my opinion. Then answered your question about it.

862s come stock from the factory in a form that will produce great power.

I hope you get some insight in your other thread and end up being happy with your truck.
