Default Need engine recommendations for my Trailblazer SS

I have a 2WD 2006 Trailblazer SS with everything modified but the rearend and engine. Since I'm looking at 140k on the engine I want to swap it out. I have an iron LQ block ready to go. My question is should I go 370 or stroke it to 402/408? Also I need guidance on heads, ported 243s, aftermarket castings, or rectangular port? Also what intake manifold, I'm curious about the Edlebrock Pro Flo or the new Holley intake. The transmission is a level 6 RPM unit and I currently have a 3600 stall Yank. I would like to run a 12.0 before nitrous. The truck now in the Alabama summer heat, with a full tank of gas and spinning went a 13.2. In cooler weather it should go a 12.7, so I would only need 70-80 hp ro reach my goal. Whatever I do it has to be streetable to DD and tame enough to for my wife to jump in and drive. Thanks for the help

If you no longer need that old worn out ls2 I'll take it Seriously why not cam and head the motor you have? Sell the 243's and buy a set of cnc'd heads and a nice sized cam like the torqer v2 should get you where you wanna be for under 2 grand.

The motor has 140k miles on it, I want the LS2 to build to go in my Camaro since having an additional 90 lbs over the nose of it will make more of a difference than it would in the Trailblazer. And if I go with a turbo like I want, I don't want an extra 90lbs plus the weight of all the turbo stuff. Irregardless of the power it will make I would like the Camaro to be as balanced as possible. With the TBSS since the suspension, brakes, transmission and everything else is done the next logical thing is a bigger motor. So before I put heads and a cam in a motor with as many miles as this on has (even though it's in great shape) I would rather put heads and a cam in a forged bottom end so if I spray it or stick a PD blower on it the bottom end won't be an issue.......ever

Go with a forged 408 with cnc'd heads from your choosing, get a cam spec'd from Pat G. Or you could get cnc'd heads and cam matched from Advanced Induction, I'm thinking of some cnc'd heads from Dart for my 370 and selling my 243's. Keep your intake and tb.

Reason I was considering a Pro Flo or Hi Ram was for upeer RPM power. The 402 and bump in compression should have strong bottom end and midrange, which had me thinking the intake swap would help the top of the midrange and the top end. Since the truck currently has a 3600 stall Yank it doesn't spend much time in the lower revs. Even if I just ease in the throttle the RPM jumps to 3k. But I do want a very strong midrange more than a top end monster

I have the fast 102 intake/tb and it feels really good. Gotta love the Yank tc, I bought mine used and I got 6k on it and going strong. Yank tt3000. But for the price those intakes are great. I would get the Holley intake.
