got an '04 ecsb with the 4.8l. settled on a predator cam 212/218, 560/565 lift. starts pullin aroung 3500 and up. likes to rev out to 6500. great on the interstate which is more of what i am building it for. problem is its a slug in town. needs a convertor for sure. gonna change the intake out cause you can tell its hurting on the top end

why would you put a cam in a 4.8?

those motors are too small for cams.

BULLSHIT!!!!

I just rode in a forum member's truck on here who has a cam'd 4.8L with the lesser LS6 camshaft (207/217, .525/.525, 116LSA) and man was that a fun ride. With matching modifications and a good tune a cam'd 4.8L is a high winding pleasure to drive to and from work with confidence you can murder any stock and slightly modified 5.3L on the road. You of all people should know, considering the "mods" in your signature.
