Default 4.8/5.3 pistons?

i think i remember readin that the 5.3's had dished pistons and the 4.8's had flat top pistons?? is that true or they both the same? if the 4.8's are flat top how much would that raise the compression in a 5.3?

True about the pistons. I thought i saw something about the compression being 10.3:1 or so but dont quote me on that.

The pin positions are different, different length rods,so you can't use 4.8 pistons with a 5.3 crank.

The'll fit but all you will have is a 5.3. You would have to get 5.3 pistons of course.

he could use the 5.7 pistons, rods, and crank in the 4.8 and just turn it in to a 5.7 with a set of 4.8/5.3 heads.
